Ron Micci’s
one-acts and sketches first gained
notoriety in conjunction with First
Stage/Hollywood’s annual Playwrights
Express.
“The Lady Gentian
Violet,” read in two parts on the
Express, developed what is described as
a “cult following” and was subsequently
produced at New York’s Riant Theatre.
His work has also
been staged in association with the
Turnip Theatre Company’s 15-Minute Play
Festival, the New York International
Independent Film & Video Festival, and
at such venues as the Kraine Theater,
Producers Club, Theatre-Studio, and
Darress Theatre.
In addition to
one-act plays, he has written a
full-length play, two comedy
screenplays, and a spec sitcom script.
An acting edition of
his one-act farce “Night and the
Proofreader” is currently available from
Brooklyn Publishers (www.brookpub.com).
